I mean, I'm not crazy about homework. Tests freak me out. I don't like every single aspect of school. But I love it. The teachers (usually) make the learning fun. Okay, so IIU raged about how supposedly horrible substitute teachers are. While I agree that some substitute teachers aren't the best, I don't think they're heartless. I like most substitute teachers! You see, IIU and I are the  exact same, but also completely diferent! =D

Now, you know I love school, but summer's calling my name! =D

What Substitute Teachers Should Never Do

If a movie is showing in class, don't yell at kids for not getting notes down, or saying "Ahh, this part here, you should take notes, write it down!"

Why?

Your voice goes over the movie, and the kids can't hear the 'very important part.'

If kids have, say, four bathroom passes for the semester, let the kids use them. Especially if they'd normally be allowed to.

Once I had a substitute that wouldn't let kids use their bathroom passes because they "just came back from lunch."

Really, that's their problem. They wanna use it then? They can.

I know that's only two, but it's a very important two.

And, why are substitutes frequently portrayed as timid, heartfelt creatures in media?

In real life, they're the opposite.

School's Almost Over!

My friend Charles and I were just talking about how amazing this school year was AMAZING!! So many great things happened to us! Of course, there were some bad things, but that just made the good things even better!

Call us nerds, but Charles and I LOVE school! It's fun to make new friends, reconnect with old friends, and learn new things!

But I can't wait till summer! =D

Addition to "Charades"

Holla! Heartsstarssmiles here! I have that class right before IIU. I had a TON of ideas, most of them being songs...then I found out that we just needed one, so I under lined "Thrift Shop." Ya know, the song by Macklemore? Jerry got that, and had a tough time with it, but I knew immediately what he got. He put some stuff on a chair and acted like he was buying them. No one got it. Our teacher acted it out similarly, but I was the only who got it. ;)

When it was my turn to act, I got LeBron James. Didn't go so well. The majority of my minute was spent shooting imaginary baskets. =D

Charades

If you've read this blog before, there's a fraction of a chance you'll realize that one of me and HHS' differences are that I don't like talking about my day. I like talking about things I find interesting. (Like M. Antoinette, for example.) My day is not.

Well,  I suppose I'll have to pass on that rule for now.

But I'm not going to pass on some extra information.

What is charades?

According to Wikipedia, "In the form most played today, it is an acting game in which one player acts out a word or phrase, often by miming similar-sounding words, and the other players guess the word or phrase. The idea is to use physical rather than verbal language to convey the meaning to another party."

What I wrote on the slip of paper we were given, was "Chamine* (middle school) 2013 Yearbook."

You can imagine just how ecstatic Gregor was to act that out.

Well, he said he couldn't do it, so the class started yelling at him.

"You couldn't imagine what I was given!*" Was his response. 

My teacher ended up acting it out, and it was (actually) guessed. 

So....
That was my 5th period class.

Singing at School...Again

Chomreabsuor! Heartsstarssmiles here! You know how I like to sing at school...or anywhere, really? Yeah, today, we had presentations in my science class. My teacher, Ms. Lemon, brought a microphone, so we could practice using them. When it was my turn to present, I started singing a song I wrote, ya know, "This is War"? After the first line or two, I started laughing and got REALLY hyper! Nothing new there! =D
